Semiconductors have had a monumental impact on our society, changing the way we work, play and communicate.  This electronics revolution, however, is still in its infancy.  Further advances in IC design and processing technology will push electronics into new and useful applications.  Continued research in IC design will lead to better products that will further increase our productivity and standard of living.

The Analog & Mixed-Signal Circuits (AMSC) Lab at Brigham Young University conducts research in a wide range of IC design issues.  Current and recent research projects include the following:

  • Low-power biomedical amplifiers

  • Operational Amplifier Compensation Methods to Achieve High Closed-loop Bandwidth

  • Bandwidth Extension using Negative Capacitance Generation

  • Frequency Synthesizers
